FOREST CITY - Adrian J. Olson, 66, of Forest City, died Saturday, May 11, 2013 at Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mason City.

Memorial services will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, June 8, 2013 at First Congregational Church in Forest City, with Pastor Joyce Schmidt officiating.
Inurnment will be at a later date.

Adrian Jordan Olson was born July 10, 1946 at Albert Lea, MN. to Ivan and Arlet (Johnson) Olson. He was baptized and confirmed at Bricelyn Lutheran Church and attended Bricelyn School in Bricelyn, MN. He worked at the canning company in Bricelyn, Winnebago Industries, Service Mater and had also worked for Pritchards of North Iowa.

Adrian married Cathy Pitcher and they had three children, Steve, Tammy, and Chad. After a few years of being divorced, Adrian married Connie Merchant. He and Connie were blessed with two children, Amy and Tracy.

Adrian liked to fish, hunt, and go camping. His grandchildren were his pride and joy. He also enjoyed watching sports, country westerns, and detective shows on tv.

Adrian is survived by his wife, Connie; his children, Amy (Silvey), Tracy, Steve, Chad, and Tammy (Jahnke); his brother-in-laws, Allen (Ruth) Merchant, and Larry (Kim) Merchant; his uncle, Merle (Lorraine) Olson of Hutchinson, MN.; his mother-in-law, Geneva Merchant; his uncle, Richard Hanson of Kamus, WA.; grandchildren; a niece; a nephew; and several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ivan and Arlet Olson; his maternal grandparents, Anna and Jewel Johnson; his paternal grandparents, Ole and Sylvia Olson; a sister, Ilene Lunning; an aunt, Lillian Hanson; an uncle, Cecil and Burnette Olson; and his father-in-law, Roy Merchant.
