Ardis C. Helvick

Ardis C. Helvick, 95, of Forest City, died Friday, August 12, 2016 at Mercy Medical Center North Iowa in Mason City.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, August 20, 2016 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Forest City with Pastor Rod Hopp officiating.

Visitation will be held 12:30 till time of service at the church on Saturday.
Burial will be held in Oakland Cemetery.

Memorials may be directed to the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Forest City and Mercy Hospice.

Ardis was born August 8, 1921, near Leland, IA, to Rudolph and Nettie (Carlson) Branstad. She was married 47 years to Donavon Helvick who preceded her in death.

Ardis was a long time member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Forest City, IA, and a member of many other special groups. However, each day as a dedicated partner, farm wife and mother, she made certain that her family was well taken care of in a loving manner.

Ardis was a loving mother to Allen (Lois), Plymouth, MN, Steven (Mary Ellen), Dawsonville, GA, Diane Jackson, Minneapolis, MN, & Paul, Seattle, WA.

She will be dearly missed by her 6 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren, her brothers, Rollin Branstad of Decatur, IL, Dennis Branstad of Gaithersburg, MD, and sister, Ruth Westerberg of Leland, IA; nieces and nephews; and grand and great-grand nieces and nephews.
