Arthur Dean Gambell was born in Forest City on September 9, 1955 to Dean and Arlene (Klipping) Gambell.
Art attended Forest City High School, and then worked for Yohn Redi Mix in Garner and farmed on the family farm where he raised pigs and milked cows while farming corn and beans. In August of 1988 he began working for Winnebago Industries, Inc. His latest position was as Senior Lead in the Sawmill for the saws and routers. He married Judy Helland Lund on October 24, 1989. Art loved giving his grandchildren rides on his vintage tractors and going on family tractor rides with his children, along with participating in vintage tractor pulls, acquiring many trophies. He enjoyed gardening, making salsa and freezing corn and carrots. Art loved to entertain his family and friends by smoking his famous pork loin and having fish fries with the fish caught on his yearly fishing trips to the Boundary waters with his friends, (a poker game and cards were always required after the fry). He also enjoyed pheasant and deer hunting, along with an occasional auction.
Art is survived by his parents, Dean and Arlene; wife Judy of 21 years; his children Jessica Springer and daughter Jayden; Michael (April) Gambell and daughter Faith; Nathan (Cassy) Gambell and sons Nicholas, Chase, and Jacob all of Forest City, Step-Children Michael (Diane) Lund of Pleasant Hill, Gary Lund, and Jeffery Lund both of Forest City; brother David (Cindy) Gambell, sister-in-laws Sally (Gary) Bohm, Cathy (John) Nelson, Peggy (Lynn) Honsey; and many nieces and nephews.
