GARNER – Christopher L. Goll, 57, of Garner died Sunday, January 11, 2015 at his home.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 A.M., Thursday, January 15th at Peace Reformed Church south of Garner. Cremation will follow the service with burial of the urn at a later date in Concord Township Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 P.M., Wednesday at the Cataldo Funeral Chapel, 160 E. 4th St., in Garner and will continue one hour prior to services at the church.
Christopher Lee Goll, the son of Charles and Bette Ann (Arnold) Goll, was born April 30, 1957 in Belmond. He graduated from Garner-Hayfield High School in 1976. Chris worked for most of his life in construction as a concrete specialist on his own and with Dean Snyder Construction in Clear Lake. Concrete was his life and passion. In 1979, he married Kathy Best and to this union two children were born Holly and Jason. For the past 20 years he lived in Garner with his life partner Holly Stykel. He enjoyed fishing, telling stories, making people laugh, fireworks, and living life on the edge.
He was a member of Peace Reformed Church.
Chris is survived by his life partner, Holly Stykel of Garner; three children, Holly (Brandon) Brink and their two children Ella and Lila of Garner, Jason (Danielle) Goll and their three children Vanessa, Jack and Jacob of Garner and Jason Eenhuis and his two children, Ivory and Shawn of Fairview, NE; his father, Charles (Kathy) Goll of Garner; brother, Robert Goll of Ankeny; sister, Sherrie (Brad) Fandel of Garner; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Bette Ann Muth; brother, Edward Goll; and infant twin siblings, Donald and Donna.
