Clinton P. Moldenhauer, 89, of Forest City, died Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at the Good Samaritan Center in Forest City.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Saturday, November 5, 2016 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Forest City with Pastor Zech Anderson officiating.

A visitation will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. Friday at Cataldo Schott Funeral Home, 505 North Clark St. Forest City, Iowa 50436.

Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Britt, Iowa with Military Honors performed by the Forest City American Legion.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Clinton P. Moldenhauer memorial fund in care of the family.

Clinton Paul Moldenhauer was born March 6, 1927 along with his twin brother, Clifford in Redwood Falls, MN , the son of Robert and Marie (Fetter) Moldenhauer.
Clint attended school in Corwith, Iowa. He was baptized and confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Corwith. He joined his brothers at the K and H Gas Station in Corwith. He was drafted into the Army in June of 1945. He received the Army of Occupation Medal and the WWII Victory Medal. While stationed in Germany, he served as a Medical Technician and was honorably discharged on November of 1946. Upon returning from service he worked at the K and H filling station in Corwith and Universal Manufacturing in Algona.

In 1969 he was married to Janet Sweers at the Evangelical Free Church in Britt, IA. They made their home in Forest City where he was employed with Winnebago Industries until his retirement in 1990. In retirement he enjoyed fishing, gardening, traveling, reading and woodworking. He enjoyed sharing gardening produce and wood.

Clint enjoyed helping others whenever possible and volunteered for A.A.L, Winnebago Food Bank, Meals on Wheels and church projects.In 1969, he became a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Forest City where he was an active member.

He entered the Good Samaritan Center in Forest City in the fall of 2007 and lived there until his passing on November 2, 2016.

He is survived by his loving wife, Janet; nephews and nieces, Curtis (Linda) Lenz, Marion (Scott) Elkerton, Joyce Lenz, Judy (Bob) Clark, Marilyn (Darrel) Robinson, Larry (Gloria) Kearney; brother-in-law, Herman (Sally) Sweers; sisters-in-laws, Francine Sweers, Mary Rose Sweers and many more nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Marie Moldenhauer; brothers, Clifford (Madeline) Moldenhauer, Ernest (Frances) Moldenhauer, Richard Moldenhauer; one sister, Dorothy (Gordon) Lenz; brothers-in-laws and sisters-in-laws, Clarence and Carrie Schaefer, Adrian and Lucille DeWaard, Jake and Margaret Sweers, Louie and Joan Sweers, Ben Sweers and Elmer Sweers.
