Darleen Lundberg, 82, of Forest City died Thursday, November 13, 2014, at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mason City.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2014, at 3:00 p.m. at the Forest City United Methodist Church with Rev. Charles Layton officiating.
A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be held in Madison Cemetery in Forest City.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of North Iowa.
Darleen was born November 6, 1932 on the family farm east of Garner, the daughter of Ray and Alta (Wellendorf) Nelson. She attended rural Concord Township school and graduated from Garner High School. Darleen was united in marriage to Milo Lundberg on June 30, 1954 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua.
Darleen was an avid square dancer and cued rounds at square dances, enjoyed bowling, traveling to all 50 states, overseas and like embroidering tea towels. Family was very important to Darleen and she especially enjoyed the time she spent with her grandchildren.
Darleen is survived by her daughter, Catherine (Steve) Nedved of Garner; son, Raymond Lundberg of Cedar Rapids; grandchildren, Heather (Tom) Hartwig of Clear Lake, Ryan Nedved of Forest City, Chad Lundberg of Cedar Rapids; great-grandchildren, Cade and Reid Hartwig; brother, Kermit (Shirley) Nelson of Lake Mills.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Milo in 1997; granddaughters, Melissa Nedved and Andrea Lundberg; a still born brother and also Curtis (Joann) Nelson.
