Delores Jean Langerud

Delores Jean Langerud, 86, of Forest City died Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mason City.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 A.M., Friday, May 20, 2016 at Forest Evangelical Lutheran Church, 546 West M. St., with Pastor Wayne Halvorson officiating.

Visitation will be held 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, May 19, 2016 at the Cataldo Schott Funeral Chapel, 505 North Clark St. Forest City.

Interment will be held in Oakland Cemetery in Forest City.

Memorials may be directed to Hospice of North Iowa or the Forest Evangelical Lutheran Church in Forest City

Delores Jean Langerud was born April 25, 1930 in Forest City, Iowa, the daughter of Joseph and Nettie (Flatrud) Moen. She attended Forest City Schools, graduating in 1948. In 1948 she married Earl Humphrey. She was married to Willard Langerud in 1967. Delores helped her husband Willard, operate the Acorn Motel from 1967-1975. She then worked for Pinckney Pharmacy for many years, Graham Shop and lastly before her health declined, Hardees.
She enjoyed traveling, walking, entertaining and socializing with family and friends. She especially enjoyed the time she spent with her grandchildren. She was an active long-time member of the Forest Evangelical Lutheran Church in Forest City. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her children, Jolene Fox of Hudson, Iowa, John Humphrey and wife Judy of Fairhope, Alabama, Mary Juhl and husband Chris of Garner and Tom Langerud and wife Jane of Forest City; grandchildren, Joshua Fox and wife Anette and Melanie Fox, Tom Juhl and wife Stephanie, Alison Eden and husband Brent, Jeffrey Juhl and wife Beth, Molly Bumgardner and husband Brett, Isaac Langerud and wife Lindsey and Alyssa Langfald and husband Carl, Bryan Langerud and wife Trisha and David Langerud and wife Debra; great-grandchildren, Haley and Tyler Fox, Nicholas and Alexis Juhl, Jacob and Jessica Eden, Alaina Juhl, Teagan Langerud and Camilla and Sadie Langfald and Jonathan and Rachel Langerud; special friend, Perry Gross and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Willard in 1987; siblings, Adrin (Bud) Moen, Verla Fjetland and Arlo Moen.
