Donald Kingland

FOREST CITY - Donald Kingland, age 69 of Forest City, died Saturday, September 27, 2008 at the Manly Care Center in Manly, Iowa.



Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, October 1, 2008 at 2:00 PM at Petersen Lund Funeral Home. Visitation will be an hour prior to service at the funeral home.



Inurnment will be at Elim Lutheran Cemetery east of Forest City.



Donald Kingland was born on July 24, 1939 in Lake Mills, Iowa, the son of Tilden and Evelyn (Field) Kingland. He graduated from Forest City High School. He enjoyed farming throughout his life.



For the past seven years, Don made his home at the Manly Care Center in Manly, Iowa.



He is survived by his three children: Debbie Kingland -Tomashefski and husband Francis of Danville, PA; Jody Kingland of St. Cloud, MN and Tim Abrahamson of Northwood, IA. Also surviving is a brother, Wayne Kingland of Manly and his special friend Judy Valley of Lake Mills, a sister, Norma (Paul) Vlieger of Norwalk, IA, three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.



Don was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Anthony (Tony) Abrahamson.
