Frances V. Holland

LELAND - Frances V. Holland, age 92 of Leland, went to be with Jesus on Monday, December 10, 2007 at Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mason City, Iowa.



Funeral service will be Thursday, December 13, 2007 at 10:30 AM at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Leland with Pastor Timothy Miller officiating. Burial will be at Forest Home Cemetery in Leland.



Visitation will be from 4 to 7 PM with a prayer service starting at 6:30 PM on Wednesday, December 12th at the funeral home and an hour prior to service at the church.



Frances Vivian (Nolte) Holland was born in Buckeye, IA on July 27, 1915 to Otto and Minnie (Fredrickson) Nolte. She attended school in Leland, IA and graduated valedictorian of her class. On September 21, 1935 she was joined in marriage to Leonard Holland. They were long-standing members of Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Leland. Frances was a member of the Leland Senior Citizens, the Ladies Circle in her church, but her greatest love was spending time with family and friends.





She was greatly loved and will be dearly missed by her son Allan Holland and his wife Judy of Marshall, MN; her daughter Sharon Roberts and her husband Steve of Leland, IA. Her grandchildren include: Craig and Deann Holland and their children Elliot and Josie; Bryan and Kristin Holland and their daughter Gia; T.J. and Stacey Roberts and their children Mariah, Morgan and Zachary; Michelle Holland and Jessica, Emma and Makayla; Shanna and Gerry Stephan and their children Kaytlin, Tessa and Zane. Also surviving is a sister-in-law Jane Taylor and many nieces and nephews.





Frances was welcomed into heaven by her parents, Otto and Minne Nolte, her husband Leonard Holland, her sons Ronnie and Larry, her brothers Marlin Nolte and Dale Nolte and his wife Millie and their children Jonnie and Lana.
