Frank G. Arnold

Frank G. Arnold, 72, of Garner, died Friday, October 18, 2024, at MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center in Mason City.

 A memorial visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m., Saturday, October 26, 2024, at Cataldo Funeral Chapel, 160 E. 4th St., Garner. A private family inurnment will be held at Madison Township Cemetery south of Forest City at a later date.

Frank Gustav Arnold, the son of Frank William and Bety Ann (Schulz) Arnold, was born June 7, 1952, in Forest City, Iowa. He graduated from Forest City High School in 1970. Frank was always interested in horses, so he attended a farrier school in Oklahoma to learn how to horseshoe. After his schooling, he returned to Forest City and worked as a security guard at Winnebago. Frank later moved to Cody, Wyoming and worked as a wrangler at a guest ranch for a time before moving to Reno, Nevada where he was employed in security at a casino. He later returned to Iowa and lived with his parents in Garner. He enjoyed horses, hunting, and spending time outdoors.

Frank is survived by his sister, Jean Arnold of North Miami Beach, FL; brother, John Arnold of Forest City; nieces and nephews, Chuck (Rachel) Krein, Teresa Foell and friend, Greg, Maia (Justin) Bartling and Michael Arnold; his aunt, Winona Schulz of Garner; and many cousins.

 He was preceded in death by his parents.
