Gary Ernest Henning was born July 15, 1942. Gary, the oldest of seven children was a proud father of three sons. After graduating from school, Gary enlisted in the United States Army and proudly served his country during the Vietnam War. Gary served two tours and received a purple heart and other numerous medals during his time there. He was proud of his service and his dedication to keeping his family and friend's safe at all times. We thank you Gary for your service to our country and for the freedom you so diligently fought for.
Gary had a deep love for the open sky and the open range. He made his home in Montana and became a rancher, a handy man, and many things in between. To his friends, Gary was a "wheeler-dealer". He enjoyed dealing in various items but especially old cars and parts. Gary was a country boy through and through, a cowboy hat, boots, and jeans were formal wear for him.
Gary unconditionally loved his family and was always there if you needed him.
Left to cherish his memories and love are Linda Henning of Stevensville, MT; sons, Christopher Henning of Stevensville, MT, Mike (Brianne) Henning of Florence, MT and Mac Henning of Stevensville, MT; four brothers, Ernest Henning Jr., Robert (Janet) Henning, Herman (Marlene) Henning, and Doug (Ruth) Henning; two sisters, Marion (Gary) Prevot and Sherry (Greg) Flugum; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
