Gary L. Kahlstorf, 79, of Britt, passed away Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at Hancock County Memorial Hospital in Britt.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, October 12, 2024, at The Faith Bible Church, 707 4th St. S.W. in Britt with Revs. Todd Holman and Bob Dodge officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Britt with military rites by the Britt Veterans Ceremonial Unit.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m., Friday, October 11th at Cataldo Funeral Home, 178 First Ave. S.W, Britt and will continue one hour prior to services at the church.
Gary Lee Kahlstorf, the son of Harold and Lola (Gates) Kahlstorf, was born May 27, 1945, in Britt. He grew up on the family farm north of Britt and attended Country School. Gary graduated from Britt High School in 1964 and continued his education at Mason City Junior College. On February 9, 1975, he married Vicki Olson at First Lutheran Church in Britt. They lived all of their married life on the family farm where they farmed and raised their family. Gary also operated a painting business and cleaned the church in Britt with Vicki for many years. He enjoyed reading, raising livestock, gardening, and woodworking.
He was a member of The Faith Bible Church in Britt, the Faith Men’s bible group, Britt American Legion, and served on the Hancock County FSA committee.
Gary is survived by his wife, Vicki Kahlstorf of Britt; son, Jason (Laura) Kahlstorf of Lemont, IL; daughter, Kelle (Corey) Stohr of Crystal Lake and their son, Brayden; siblings, Dan (Renita) Kahlstorf of Britt, Sandra (Rick) Moore of Memphis, TN and Bob (Cheryl) Kahlstorf of Vinemont, AL; many nieces and nephews; and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Keith and Jeffrey Kahlstorf; father and mother-in-law, Maurice and Anna Marie Olson; and brothers-in-law, Stan Giles and Ron Olson and his wife, Cheryl.
