Jeanette Hugo

WODEN – Jeanette Hugo, 86, of Woden died Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at the Hancock County Memorial Hospital in Britt.

A memorial service will be held 10 A.M., Friday, January 5th at the Cataldo Funeral Chapel in Woden with Rev. S. Kim Peterson of St. John’s Lutheran Church officiating.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the funeral chapel.

Jeanette Hugo, the daughter of Fred and Ida (Hertha) Hugo, was born August 15, 1931, in Hancock County. She attended and graduated from Woden High School in 1950. Following high school, she lived in Mason City for a few years before returning to Woden where she was employed at First State Bank until her retirement in 1993.

She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Woden.

Jeanette is survived by her sister, Deloris Christensen of Boone; a sister-in-law, Sandy Hugo of Woden; five nieces, Julie (Bill) Eichman of Neosho, MO, Christy Christensen of Boone, Tracy Christensen of Boone, Kathy (Cary) Brown of Woden and Susan (Jeff) Hull of Woden; and many great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Fred Hugo; and a brother-in-law, Cameron Christensen.
