Jodi A. Schisel

FOREST CITY - Jodi A. Schisel, 46, of Forest City, died Tuesday (December 6, 2011) at Mercy Medical Center in Mason City.

Memorial services will be held 1:30 P.M., Saturday, December 10th at Peterson Lund Funeral Home, 505 North Clark, Forest City with Pastor Greg Anderson of Immanuel Lutheran Church officiating. Inurnment will be in the spring.

Visitation will be from 12 noon Saturday until the time of service at the funeral home.

Jodi Ann Schisel, the daughter of Elling and Diane (Engebretson) Schisel was born on October 14, 1965 in Blue Earth, Minnesota. She graduated from Buffalo Center-Rake High School. She worked for R.E.M for twenty-six years. Jodi spent her time reading books, watching movies, playing cards, and cheering or yelling at her Minnesota Vikings. She had several elderly friends who she enjoyed driving to their doctor appointments or just to go shopping. She loved spending time with her nephews.

Jodi is survived by her parents, Diane Schisel (Robert Benson) and Elling Schisel; her siblings, Lori Glenn and Wanda Schisel (Kyle Betenbender); her nephews, Kyle, Nic and Dakota Glenn, Garrett and Breckyn Bentenbender and Hunter Benson. Also surviving are several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Jodi was preceded in death by her grandparents, John and Gayla Schisel, Elling and Gladys Aske and Christopher and Dorothy Engebretson; a niece Morgan Kylee Betenbender; and two uncles, John Peterson and Jack Schisel.
