Keith L. Wirth

THOMPSON - Keith Wirth, age 66 of Thompson, died Friday, October 8, 2010 in Rochester, Minnesota following a lengthly illness.
Memorial Service will be held at 1:30 PM on Thursday, October 14, 2010 at St. James Catholic Church in Forest City with Father Dennis Miller officiating.
Inurnment will be at St. James Catholic Cemetery in Forest City.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 PM on Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at Petersen Lund Funeral Home 505 N Clark St in Forest City.
Keith was born April 25, 1944 to Joseph and Verna (Weigel) Wirth. He graduated in 1962 and joined the army reserves serving as an army sergeant. He then worked in various sales jobs and was a real estate agent in Bella Vista, Arkansas.
He was united in marriage on December 28, 1977 to Barbara Walton. They began farming together in southwest Missouri, and in 1988 moved to the Thompson, Iowa area.
He is survived by his wife Barbara, a step daughter, Lisa Coffman, a step son, Jon Dodder, four brothers, Garald, Leroy, Cecil and Dennis Wirth, three sisters, Mary Jo Gulick, Faye Krueger and Judy Peterson, four sisters-in-law, two brothers-in-law, and numerous nieces, nephews and their families. He was preceded in death by his father, his mother, one brother, Jon Wirth, one sister, Juanita Faust, two brothers-in-law and one sister-in-law.
Keith enjoyed hunting, gardening and working with his wife, Barbie. He had a life-long love of farming and raising livestock. He will be missed dearly by many.
