Marcia J. Blank, 79, of Garner, passed away Friday, November 22, 2019 at Concord Care Center in Garner.
Graveside services will be held at a later date in Concord Township Cemetery.
Marcia Jane Blank, the youngest of seven children of Thomas and Esther (Malek) Blank, was born July 10, 1940 in Forest City. She graduated from Hayfield High School in 1959. Marcia received awards and other recognition over many years for her volunteer work at Opportunity Village. She worked at both the Clear Lake and Garner locations.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Garner.
Marcia is survived by her two sisters, Tessie Johnson and Eunice Johnson both of Garner; brother, Sylvester (Emma) Blank of West Des Moines; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and three brothers, Lehman, Jack and Curtis Blank.
