Marlene Jones, 85, of Garner passed away Sunday, November 29, 2020, at Westview Care Center, Britt, Iowa.
Following cremation, a private family graveside service will be held in Danube, Minnesota.
Marlene was born to Lawrence and Ruth (Roesti) Fischer at the farm home near Danube, Minnesota, on January 27, 1935. She spent her professional career as a legal secretary and later enjoyed flea marketing in Florida and Minnesota.
Marlene moved to Klemme, Iowa, in 2001, where she was active in the United Methodist Church. In 2015, she moved to Garner, Iowa. She was a caring, giving person volunteering at the Concord Care Center in Garner and the Garner Food Bank.
Marlene is survived by a sister, LaVaun (Perry) Schaeffer, Ankeny, Iowa; sister-in-law, Wanda Zaske, Spicer, MN, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Marlow; and her sister and brother-in-law, Mavis and Kenneth Baker.
