Mickey Nielsen, 76 passed away August 24, 2018 at Kindred Hospital in Dallas, Texas on August 24, 2018.
Celebration of Life services for Michael A. Nielsen, 76, of Mission, Texas will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 8, at the Forest City United Methodist Church with Pastor Les Green officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Mickey Nielsen memorial fund in care of the family
He was born February 13, 1942 in Thornton, Iowa, to the late Emma Lee and Martin Nielsen. Mickey is survived by his four daughters along with their spouses, Melody & Jeff Silliman, Michel & Greg Albaugh, Amber & Cole Kuykendall, Haley & Preston Sandknop; eleven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; his three sisters and their spouses Linda & Ron Haugen, Sherrie & Mike Miller, Mary & Kevin Swanson, one sister-in-law Karen Nielsen; Pam Nielsen; many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Jim Nielson.
Mickey was a successful businessman, owner and founder of Work Force, Inc. in Garland, Texas, with branch offices in Plano and Carrollton, Texas. He loved fishing, hunting, his family, and his much loved dog, Skip.
When he retired he moved to Mission, Texas.
Mickey will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
