Norma Mae Brock Monson, 91, of Forest City, died peacefully, Saturday, September 23, 2017 at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mason City surrounded by her family.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Forest City, with Pastor Rodd Hopp officiating.
Visitation will be held 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at Cataldo Schott Funeral Chapel, 505 North Clark St. Forest City, IA 50436
Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Forest City.

Norma Mae was born on December 31, 1925 in Albert Lea, MN, the daughter of John S. and Selma Johnson, she was one of six children. She was educated in the Hayfield school system. She was united in marriage to Choen Brock on January 17, 1948, they were blessed with six wonderful children, Trudy (Larry) Folkerts, Rickie Brock, Jodene (Gary) Bartleson, John (Dawn) Brock, Rhonda King and Terrel (Tammy) Brock. She loved gardening, cooking and being with her friends and family. Norma helped Choen farm for years and also worked for Winnebago Industries for 25 years.
After she lost Choen in 1991 she met and later married Milton Monson on September 18, 1999. They spent many winters in Harlingen, Texas. They celebrated their 18th wedding anniversary on September 18, 2017. Norma was an extraordinary woman and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her husband, Milton; her six children; seventeen grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren; one brother, Jerry (Charlene) Johnson of Mesa, AZ; four sisters-in-law’s, Madeline (Steve) Jensen, Loreene Brock, Colleen Devin, Eunice Johnson, Tessie Johnson; step-children, Kenny (Cheryl) Monson, John (Virginia) Monson, Paula (Bill) Ganes, Darla Thorson and step-sister-in-law, Darlene Monson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Choen Brock; three brothers, Orlando, Marvin, Donald and Maynard Johnson; daughter-in-law, Karen Brock; two grandsons, Branden Brock and Jeffrey Good; step-daughter, Sandy Monson many in-laws and dear friends.
