Randy D. Baldwin

FOREST CITY – Randy D. Baldwin, 63, of Fayetteville, TX, formerly of Forest City, died Monday (July 26, 2010) at his home in Fayetteville, TX.

Memorial services will be held 2:30 P.M., Saturday, August 21st at Oakland Cemetery in Forest City. There will be a time for fellowship and refreshments immediately following the service at the United Methodist Church in Forest City.

Randall Dale Baldwin, the son of Russel and Betty (Conley) Baldwin, was born May 4, 1947 at Cherokee. He was baptized in the First Presbyterian Church in Paullina. Randy attended school in Paullina, Nashua and Forest City. He graduated from Forest City High School in 1965 and the University of Iowa in 1969. Randy worked in Denver, CO, Houston, TX, Galveston, TX and Texas City, TX. He worked for a finance company in Denver, was employed in Human Resources in a Houston bank and later worked for an oilfield equipment firm. Randy owned and operated a marina near Galveston in partnership with his brothers, Dan and Steve. He was self-employed in construction in Texas City and worked for Carnival Cruise Lines. He moved to Fayetteville in September of 2009 to be near his brother and sister-in-law, Steve and Diana. Randy enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and the outdoors. He especially enjoyed the annual family get together and visiting friends in Forest City.

He is survived by his mother, Betty, of Forest City; four brothers, Richard (Suzanne) Baldwin of Nashua, Daniel Baldwin of Houston, TX, Steven (Diana) Baldwin of Fayetteville, TX and David (Donna) Baldwin of Los Cruces, NM; six nieces and nephews; and nine great nieces and nephews.

Randy was preceded in death by his father, Russel, in May of 2009.
