Rich E. Knapper

MARLOW, OK - Rich E. Knapper, age 49 of Marlow, Oklahoma, died on Sunday, March 1, 2009 in Morgantown, West Virginia where he was working.



Funeral service will be Saturday, March 7, 2009 at 1:30 PM at Zion Lutheran Church in Thompson with Pastor Boyd Longshore officiating. Burial will be at Madison Township Cemetery in Forest City.



Visitation will be held on Friday, March 6 from 5 to 7 PM at Petersen Lund Funeral Home in Forest City and an hour prior to service at the church.



Rich E. Knapper was born in Iowa City, Iowa February 5, 1960, son of Jerry and Emma Knapper. He was baptized and confirmed at Forest Evangelical Lutheran Church, Forest City, Iowa.



He attended school in Forest City and was a graduate of Forest City High School. He worked for Ward North American Van Lines and Superior Well Service in Marlow, Oklahoma. He loved playing basketball and lots of games with his children.



He passed away at a hospital in West Virginia on March 1, 2009.



He will be fondly remembered by his children and mother, family and friends: sons Matthew J., Scott E., Stephen, and Jerry; daughter Amy L.; his mother Emma Knapper; sisters Carol (Joe) Townsend and Vicki (Mike) Nielson; niece Holly and her son Kane; nephew Chad; and godson Joseph Knipp.



He was preceded in death by his father Jerry Knapper and many aunts and uncles.
