Ronald N. Nyhus, 59, of Clear Lake, died peacefully, Monday, June 11, 2018 at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mason City.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, June 18, 2018 at the Cataldo Schott Funeral Chapel, 505 North Clark St., Forest City, IA 50436 with Pastor Steve Bang officiating.
Visitation will be held one hour prior the services at the funeral home on Monday.
Interment will be in Pilot Knob Lutheran Cemetery in rural Forest City. Lunch will follow the committal service at Pilot Knob Lutheran Church.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Ronald Nyhus memorial fund in care of the family.
Ronald was born May 14, 1959 in Forest City, the son of Norman and Delores (Morem) Nyhus. He attended special education school in Forest City and Thompson. Ron was a part of the Opportunity Village organization for over thirty years. He lived various places in Clear Lake and worked at many different restaurants in Clear Lake through the years. Ron enjoyed his friends and especially loved watching WWF wrestling, he owned an archive of wrestling tapes, of which he watched religiously. Ron will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Ronald is survived by his father, Norman of Forest City; brother, Roger (Bonnie) Nyhus of Forest City; nephew, Craig (Laura) Nyhus of Sioux Falls, SD; niece, Laura Nyhus of Gilbert, AZ and a great-nephew, Carter Nyhus of Sioux Falls, SD.
Also surviving is a uncle, Harold Nyhus of Forest City; and aunt, Donna (Harvey) Eden of Woden, IA.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Delores Nyhus in 2013 and paternal and maternal grandparents.
