Steven Lee Gladson, 54 of Forest City died Saturday, January 25, 2014 at his home surrounded by his family while under hospice care. Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at Petersen Lund Funeral Home, 505 North Clark St. with Pastor Ed Bard, Chaplain-Hospice of North Iowa officiating. Visitation will be held 9:30 A.M. till service time at the funeral home on Tuesday. Inurnment will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Steven Gladson memorial fund in care of the family.

Steven Lee Gladson was born May 4, 1959 in Des Moines, Iowa the son of Stanley Lee and Stella Louise (Pugh) Gladson. At the age of 6 the family moved to Dysart and Steve was raised there. At the age of 17 he enlisted in the United States Army. He was stationed at Fort Carson Colorado for the next 7 years in the tank track mechanic and recovery unit. Steve enjoyed his time in the military and always took great pride in this.
On December 27, 1983 he married Kathy Fowler, they raised 4 children together. He and his family moved to Forest City in 1988, he started employment with Winnebago Industries and worked in several departments, plastics, warehouse and part sales. Steve loved his family and he especially enjoyed the time he spent with his grandchildren, attending their sporting events and also loved taking them fishing. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was survived by his wife, Kathy of Forest City; children, Wendy (Kevin) Wickman of Fairfax, IA, Tammy Lyons of Forest City, Joshua Bohnstengel and fiancé Jen Nash of Forest City, Michael (Alison) Bohnstengel of Andalusia, IL; father, Stanley Gladson of West Plaines, MO; siblings, Shirley Morgan of Montezuma, IN, Stoney (Joyce) Gladson of Waterloo, IA, John (Carleen) Gladson of Federal Way, WA, Scott (Marie) Gladson of Dysart, IA, and Sandy (Ron) Haws of West Plaines, MO; seven grandsons and many nieces and nephews.

Steve was preceded in death by his grandparents and his mother, Stella Gladson.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Hospice of North Iowa for all the wonderful care and support they have received over the past month.
