FOREST CITY - Zudavee "Zudie" Holland, 78, of Forest City died Wednesday (October 12, 2011) at Mercy Medical Center - North Iowa in Mason City from injuries received in a car accident near Titonka.

Funeral services will be held 1 P.M., Monday, October 17th at First Baptist Church in Forest City with Revs. Doug Snyder and Eric Weaver officiating. Burial will be in Madison Township Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 P.M., Sunday at the Petersen Lund Funeral Home, 505 N. Clark St., in Forest City and one hour prior to services at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial may be directed to the family in care of Phyllis Holland 705 West O St., Forest City, IA 50436.

Zudavee Holland, the daughter of Marlor and Lucy (Coudell) Smith, was born November 15, 1932 in Homer, Georgia. At an early age she moved with her family to Crystal Lake and later to Thompson where she graduated from high school in 1951. In 1952 she was married to Bobbie D. Holland. They farmed west of Forest City where they raised their family. They also fostered seven children from the Harr family during this time. The marriage later ended in divorce. Zudie delivered motor homes for Winnebago Industries for twelve years. Moving into town Zudie became employed by the Forest City Community Schools where she drove school bus for twenty-seven years. Zudie's love of life was spending time with her family and close friends, cooking, gardening, playing cards and especially, bingo.

She was a member of First Baptist Church in Forest City.

Zudie is survived by her children, Pam Julius and special friend, Rodney Claude, of Galt, IA, Phyllis Holland and partner, Gina, of Forest City and Anthony Holland of Woden; eight grandchildren, Tina (Scott) Badker, Shelly (Rick) Skjeie, Ashley (Ross) Calvo, Shannon Holland, Dustin Lorenzen, Jamie Julius, John (Melissa) Holland and Joshua Holland; fourteen great-grandchildren; two sisters, Colleen Devin of Oklahoma and Madilene (Stephan) Jensen of Cedar Rapids; sisters-in-law, Loreen Brock of Woden, Norma (Milton) Monson of Leland and Tonya Smith of Curtis, WI; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Vance Holland; grandson, Kiley; and brothers, Hanford Brock, Clifton Brock, Choen Brock, Edwin Smith and Fred Smith.
